This half day group session will teach you how to understand dogs and be the best dog owner you can be. Yes! In just three hours what you learn can change your life. We will cover the common miscommunications between our species, how to give attention and affection in a way your dog appreciates, how to give commands your dog wants to listen to and what to do if they don’t as well as how to teach impulse inhibition and project leadership energy. Dogs are not permitted since it is just us humans talking.

Dog Rescue Retreat in Puerto Escondido, Mexico

The Naked Dog will be hosting the first ever dog rescue retreat! Allegra fell in love with Puerto Escondido last winter and ended up fostering Arrow, the beach dog, after he was attacked by a pack of dogs and in need of a new home. Puerto Escondido is such a special place full of special dogs in need of loving families. It’s a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a vacation, but if you are someone who wants to give back when you travel, this could be the experience for you.

Four participants will be staying at a beautiful resort and enjoy half the day on the beach, surfing, touring the protected wildlife areas, or just relaxing at the villa and spend half of the day volunteering at a dog rescue. You will pick a dog to either work with on property or to take back home with you to foster and adopt. The goal is for you to learn everything you need to know to have a healthy relationship with your dog that will create a calm, balanced teammate and give an amazing Mexican street dog a new life.
